Xiao Liu is currently Associate Head of School (International) and Senior Lecturer at the School of Information Technology, Deakin University, Melbourne, Australia. Xiao received his Ph.D. degree in Computer Science and Software Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology, Melbourne, Australia, 2011. Xiao started his research in the area of Software Engineering and Distributed Systems with the focus of workflow applications since 2005. He has published extensively in the areas of business workflows, scientific workflows, and cloud computing, including 40+ international journal articles (including ACM ToSEM, IEEE TSE, IEEE TPDS, IEEE TC, JPDC, JSS, WWWJ), and 50+ international conference papers (including ICSE, ASE, ICWS, ICSOC, ICSSP, IPDPS). According to Google Scholar, Xiao has over 2400 citations and an h-index of 23.
